Ek het nou’rie anne dag vir jou gesien.  Cruising the street ampe soes rêrag.  Ma’ ek hou jou dop.  Djy loep hie’ rond met ‘n gedagte.  Smile en groet die mense met ‘n polite style…maar ha-ah…daai drive-by kar wat djy soe lekker mie’ ry is “borrowed-never-to-return”.

 

Djy vat wattie joune issie.  Besteel die mense. Kaal.  Djy’s mos oraait blind – want o’s watch jou.  Se ma’ vir my Big Brudder.  Ek is op van jou en jou gladde bek.  Jou lang vinges.  As ek jou gaan vang…dan gaan djy mang.  Djy dink nog djy is kwaai.

 

Daai dag sal kom…Ek wag ma’ patiently vi’ daai dag wanne ek vir jou kan sê…”Outjie…’is nag vir jou.  Enjoy ma’ jou stay in Hotel Tchookie”.  Steel nog.  Just remember…elke hond kry sy dag.  Jou dag issie vêr nie.  Jis pappa…Jou dag sal kom…

 

 

 

 

There are so many burglaries happening lately.  One works hard to build and the next dude comes around to break down.  Thank you to all those in the line of duty – police, armed-response security, neighbourhood watch.  You guys are fantastic.

    1. Hahaha – you forget I started life on the Cape Flats. My family alone is a smorgasbord of colour and personality 😊. Yeah, crime is a thing that shouldn’t be. We work so hard whilst others just take. Not cool.
