It’s Literature Week on The Blog Tag and today’s prompt is “Poetry”.  If you have been following this blog you’d know poetry is my love.  So, this is my Ode to Poetry.

 

You embrace me with your words

My emotions encompassed in your flow

Your sway…the rhythm of my heart

Your structure my art

 

 

Like the span of the bird

Thought is what you sow

Gripping me from the start

Of me you’ll always be a part

 

 

So, you my joy

Are my breathe of fresh air

My silent abyss

My lift of despair

 

 

My love of all things

My everything

My language of choice

My Poetry
