I am not a trained photographer. I do not even own any photographic equipment. All I have is my mobile phone. Yep…Just me and my phone….My phone and I. That doesn’t stop me from taking snaps on my journey of life. I am part of the mobile photography movement.
There is so much to see in this world. Every picture tells a story. Also, I have been blessed to have been able to see a little more than just my hometown. To see pockets of the world and see how others live.
One of the things that I have learned on my travels – local and foreign – is that we’re all similarly different…and differently similar. It has taught me to see the similarities in cultures and also to appreciate and learn from our differences. It has taught me to be a tad more tolerant and to think differently on everyday things.
There may be those of you who follow on Instagram but I have decided I’d share some of the pics I really love here as an extension on what this blog is about. Life and all it’s stuffs. I write poetry. I use words. I use music and create melodies. I use a mobile phone camera and create a melodic visual poem. That’s what photography is to me. I don’t always have the time to grab a pencil and pad and sketch. My phone is always with me…so I take snaps.
I’d love to know your thoughts on my pictures. Let me know how they make you fell. What you see that I might’ve missed.
